BTSF Presentation
Better Training for Safer Food Better Training for Safer Food is a Commission- DG Health and Consumers training initiative covering food and feed law, animal health and welfare and plant health rules. It trains Member State, candidate country national authority staff involved in official controls in these areas as well as private sector competent staff.
RASFF / TRACES
Regional workshops for third countries on the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) and the Trade Control and Expert System (Traces) Contract EAHC 2009 96 15 - This programme covers the organisation of 7 3-days regional training workshops on the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) and the Trade Control and Expert System (TRACES) of the European Commission.
Food Hygiene & Controls
Contract n°2009 96 02 EAHC/2009/BTSF/01 - These training courses are designed for European Community member state participants, however third country participants can be accomodated. The workshops deal with hygiene and food controls for milk and milk products, meat and meat products, fish and live bivalve molluscs.
Animal Health - Aquaculture
Contract n°2009 96 05 EAHC/2009/BTSF/01 - This project covers the organisation of training session in order to provide a common and unambiguous understanding of the current state of play of certain specific animal diseases, and the related EU legislation and its proper and harmonised implementation across the EU.
Food of Non Animal Origin
Contract n°2009 96 06 EAHC/2010/BTSF/02 Lot 2 – The training sessions are designed for European Community Member States participants. The workshops deal with the increased level of official controls on certain feed and food of non-animal origin.
Internal Audit
Contract N° 2010 96 07 “Audit Systems and Internal Auditing”. To ensure the quality of national controls in all fields of Reg. 882/Y2004, it is established that internal audits should be taken at national level.
EU Food Rules
Regional workshops on European food legislation for third countries Contract Number 2010 96 10 “EU Food Rules and Food Import Requirements” Compliance with EU food safety and quality standards may represent a major constraint on the development of exports by third countries to the EU due to the fact that those countries, mainly developing countries, do not have adequate national services, resources, structures and equipment to ensure the control and surveillance of the food production chain.
Support to Union Controls
Contract n° 2010 96 08 "Training sessions on the support to Union Controls in Member States and Third Countries". The present BTSF project aims to support the Food and Veterinary Office in the organisation of training sessions dedicated to nominated participants, susceptible to act as National Expert together with FVO inspectors during inspection missions in the EU and in Third Countries.
